Rajnath Singh in Japan- Raksha Rajnath Singh was met by his Japanese counterpart ‘Yasukazu Hamada’ on Thursday. Singh said the special bilateral strategy and cultural partnership between the two countries plays an important role in ensuring a single independent, free and law-based Indo-Pacific region. Rajnath Singh arrived in Tokyo at the end of a five-day visit to Mongolia and Japan. After meeting Hamada, Singh tweeted, “Cooperation in bilateral talks with Japanese Defense Minister Yasukazu Hamada and review of various aspects of regional events. This year the two countries are commemorating the 70th year of your royal relationship. India’s defense relationship with Pakistan plays an important role in ensuring a free, open and law-based Indo-Pacific region.”
World powers united against China
India, the US and other world powers are emphasizing the need for an independent, free and law-based Indo-Pacific amid China’s advancing military power in the Indo-Pacific. China claims almost all of the South China Sea, but Shakti, the Philippines, Brunei, Malaysia and Vietnam also claim parts of it. China has also built artificial islands and company troops in the South China Sea.
