Indonesia raises app-based bike fare after fuel price hike

Indonesia’s Ministry of Transportation has raised prices for app-based motorcycle transportation services to account for the recent increase in fuel prices, a senior official in Indonesia, Hendro Sugatno, said on Wednesday.

Fares per kilometer have been increased by 6% to 13.3%, and the minimum fares for the first 4 kilometers of travel have also been raised. Hendro said the new rates will come into effect three days after Wednesday.
