Mahindra & Mahindra, the Indian manufacturer of SUVs, has brought out the Mahindra XUV400 electric SUV on the eve of World Auto Day 2022, the company’s first electric SUV. The new Mahindra XUV400 features the Double Tops badge with a shiny brass finish, giving it a distinct personality from other Mahindra SUVs, and it will be launched in January 2023 wise. According to Mahindra, test drives will start from December 2022 across 16 cities in the first phase and deliveries will start by the end of January 2023. The Indian automaker will offer charger options with SUVs and will set up a fast charging network across India.
While Mahindra unveiled the SUV in two color options – Arctic Blue and Napoli Black. However, it will be available in five colors- Arctic Blue, Everest White, Galaxy Gray, Napoli Black and Infinity Blue with the option of a dual-tone roof in a glossy copper finish.
Mahindra XUV400- Design
The Mahindra XUV400 is the same as the Mahindra eXUV300 shown at the 2020 Auto Show and is 4,200 mm long, with a 2,600 mm wheelbase, and 1,821 mm (the widest electronic SUV) it stacks against a mid-size SUV. It also offers 378L/418L trunk space (to the roof). The XUV400 comes with a distinctive brushed brass finish, high-gloss alloy wheels featuring a high-contrast diamond-cut surface treatment.

Mahindra XUV400 is India’s first electric SUV with the fastest acceleration in the non-luxury category as it reaches 100 km/h from a stop in 8.3 seconds and continues to a top speed of 150 km/h.
Mahindra XUV400- Range
The fully charged Mahindra XUV400 offers an electric range of 456 km on MIDC standards. It comes with a 39.4 kW battery that uses Li-ion cells, and takes 50 minutes to complete a charge of 80% using a 50 kW fast charger. When charging via a 7.2 kW / 32 A outlet, it takes 6 hours 30 minutes to charge 0-100% and the same is achieved in 13 hours while using a standard domestic 3.3 kW / 16 A socket.
Mahindra XUV400- Launch
Mahindra XUV400 will be launched in January 2023, and shipments of the XUV400 are scheduled to start from the end of January 2023. The first phase of the launch will cover the following 16 cities. Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Goa, Jaipur, Surat, Nagpur, Trivandrum, Nashik, Chandigarh, Kochi.
