The market closes today with a green sign; The benchmark Sensex ends at 59,688 points | Market news

Mumbai- Closing for the second day in a row, the benchmark Sensex Index of the Indian stock market closed up 105 points on Friday in a volatile session. The 30-point S&P BSE Sensex stock rose to 59,793.14 points, up 0.18%. And closed down at 59,688 points, up 0.18 points.

The markets have seen volatile activity. The Sensex index rose to 60,119.80 points early in the morning session after opening the day significantly higher at 60,045.75 points. The Sensex index temporarily fell into the red during the afternoon session, posting an intraday low at 59,634.39 points.

The market has been on the rise for the past two days. On Thursday, the Sensex rose 659.31 points, or 1.12%. The Nifty 50 National Stock Index, the most comprehensive, rose 34.60 points, or 0.19 percent, from the previous day’s close of 17,798.75 points to 17,833.35 points.

Earlier, Nifty started the day high at 17,923.35 points and reached a high of 17,925.95 points in the morning session. Nifty fell to as low as 17,786.00 pips in the intraday.

Nifty had gained 174.35 points, or 0.99 percent, on Thursday. There was good buying support in banking and IT stocks. IndusInd Bank shares jumped 2.60 per cent to 1,136.90 rupees. State Bank of India rose 1.61 per cent to Rs 553.45. Axis Bank shares rose 0.64 per cent to Rs 784.85.

Tech Mahindra shares rose 3.32 per cent to Rs 1,126.55. Infosys shares rose 2.43 per cent to Rs 1511.85, HCL Technologies, Maruti Suzuki, TCS, Wipro, Hindustan Unilever, ICICI Bank and ITC were among the major gainers in Sensex.

UltraTech Cement fell 1.94 percent to Rs 6,784.05, the main index of Reliance Industries Limited closed 0.64 percent lower at Rs 2,568.60, and the other Sensex losers were- L&T, Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, Power Grid Corporation and Sun Pharma.
