The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health heard about this case from the California Department of Public Health. The person was in L.A. County from Saturday, March 30, to Sunday, April 1.

People who were at these places on these dates and times might get measles within 21 days from when they were there, according to health officials.

They are also looking into other places where people might have been exposed. People who were in these places should check if they got the measles vaccine. If they didn’t and haven’t had measles before, they might get it if they were around someone with measles.

People who were exposed and haven’t had symptoms for more than 21 days are not at risk anymore.

Dr. Muntu Davis, Los Angeles County health officer, said measles spreads easily through the air and direct contact, even before you know you have it. It can cause serious problems, especially for young children and vulnerable adults.
