Exciting News: Bridget Jones Returns for a Fourth Movie!

Universal Pictures just announced that a fourth Bridget Jones movie is on its way. It’s called “Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy,” and it’s based on a novel by Helen Fielding, who wrote the earlier Bridget Jones stories.

The movie is set to release on Valentine’s Day 2025. You can watch it on Peacock in the U.S. and in theaters around the world.

RenĂ©e Zellweger will be back as Bridget Jones, along with Hugh Grant as Daniel Cleaver and Emma Thompson as Dr. Rawlings. There will be some new faces too, like Chiwetel Ejiofor and Leo Woodall, though we don’t know much about their characters yet.

The movie will be directed by Michael Morris, and Helen Fielding will help produce it. She’s been working on bringing her book to the big screen since 2022.

In “Mad About the Boy,” Bridget faces all sorts of funny challenges, like dealing with head lice and embarrassing moments at school events. But she learns that life can still be exciting, even as you get older.

Sadly, Mark Darcy, played by Colin Firth, won’t be in this movie. His character passed away before the events of the book. But there’s still plenty of fun to be had with Bridget and her friends!

Get ready for laughs, romance, and more Bridget Jones antics coming soon to a screen near you!
